Jun Ware Porcelain Candle — Crabapple Blossom

One colour enters the kiln. Ten thousand emerge.

入窑一色，出窑万彩 — this is the legend of 钧窑, Jun Ware, 
one of the Five Great Kilns of the Song Dynasty. 

The glaze is not painted on. It is made of liquid mineral — 
an opalescent suspension that transforms at 1300°C into 
something no craftsman can fully predict or control. 
Blues shift toward lavender in shadow. Gold catches at the rim 
where the glaze pools and thins. Each piece carries an interior 
landscape that belongs to no other.

This candle sits in a hand-thrown Jun Ware bowl — 
a drifting opalescent blue with warm gold at the lip edge, 
fired by artisans who have spent years learning to work with 
a glaze that refuses to be commanded.

The Scent: Crabapple Blossom — 海棠

Opens with green leaf and freesia. Moves into a floral heart 
of jasmine, crabapple blossom and orchid. Dries down to 
peach, cedarwood and oak moss. Refined, unhurried, 
entirely its own.

Base   — Peach, Cedarwood, Oak Moss

When the wax is spent, the bowl remains — a hand-fired porcelain 
piece to be kept, used, or gifted again.
